Male Lion Resting Under Tree
When we found this big male, his belly was so full he looked ready to give birth to a litter of cubs. Usually after lions have
eaten their full, they flop down in a shady spot and fall asleep, so we were lucky that this lion still had his head up, allowing us
to grab some shots of him.

Camera Equipment: Photograph was taken with an Olympus C-2100 Ultra Zoom digital camera. Although
only a 2-megapixel camera - low-spec by today's standards - it is fitted with an excellent 38-380mm Olympus lens.
The lens is also image-stabilized, allowing hand-held photographs at slower shutter-speeds than would normally be possible.
Location: The Kruger National Park covers nearly 2 million hectares and is
South Africa's flagship wildlife reserve.
Permitted Uses: See Terms of Use.
